Westfalia conversion
This exceptional Volkswagen T4 Westfalia California offers a unique combination of classic charm and modern reliability. The van has low mileage, has an excellent service history and is fully adventure ready!

The Westfalia conversion for the T4 was the only factory fit conversion completed via official partnership with VW, with base vans supplied directly to Westfalia, as had been done with Transports for decades. Only with the T5 did VW start doing it themselves.

The Westfalia conversion is renowned as the best and was the template used by VW for future iterations.

Amongst a long list of positives, one that is often overlooked is that as a result, this is the only T4 based campervan with 2 x factory fitted (and therefore genuinely crash tested) rear seatbelts. Aftermarket ones may claim to be crash tested but remember that at best that applies to the bed frame and is only as good as the method used to anchor the bed to the chassis. The Westfalia is the ‘gold standard’ for conversion and is the most desirable format of the T4 as a camper.
It was only available in Europe & is therefore left-hand drive with a speedo in KmH. With the high driving position, driving on UK roads is fine & as you’re rarely on your own in it, tolls/car parks etc are not a problem – just get the passenger to pay!
