Volkswagen type 2 Devon (1974)

It is with regret that I have for sale my much cherished 1.6 4 speed manual, VW T2 Devon camper. In stunning condition at nearly 51 years old. Tax and MOT exempt. It was originally bought new by my father in 1974 (I have the original receipt) and I became the proud owner some years ago. So 2 owners from new.

It is a very rare example as It has never had any rust or rot and still has the original paint in pristine condition. It has only covered 44,000 trouble free miles. It has always been garaged and only used in the summer months, so has never seen a frosty or salty road.

It’s a 6 seater, 4 berth pop top. The seats were refurbished by Bromsgrove auto trimmers just before lockdown (hammock style beds in pop top are original material). The chrome steel wheels complete with new tyres were fitted approx 5 years ago and have done less than 1000 miles.

Included in the sale are the original wheels with vw hub caps and virtually unused tyres. The original drive away awning sold with it when bought new (frame needs attention). Also includes the more recently upgraded awning and a high security brake and clutch pedal lock.
