Original 1979 VW Campervan owned by us for 28 years. It is a classic camper with original engine and paintwork - Merino Yellow. This is rare for a van of this age. It has a full length elevating roof and lots of character.
This is a fantastic, versatile vehicle with 6 seats all with seatbelts; 4 berth (2 up, 2 down) with rock and roll bed downstairs and mattresses slide across making another double at the top. Has working calor gas 2 ring hob, grill, fridge and sink (with plug and chain), Carpeted with original linoleum floor, table and pole which can be converted into an outdoor table with legs, curtains throughout, plenty of worktop and cupboard storage. Comes with original awning.
Mechanically excellent it has had a recent professional engine rebuild by a VW expert and engine power is now as new. They are known for their reliability.
The bodywork and interior are functional but tired, needs tlc to restore or renovate which would make a fulfilling project.
We’ve had lots of adventures but family grown up and now time for someone else to enjoy.
It is Tax and MOT exempt and cheap to insure.
