1984 VW Transporter T25 (T3) — just turned classic

It's sadly time to sell Vonnie, our much-loved 1984 VW T25/T3. We’ve had plenty of adventures in her over the last few years (Ireland, Wales, Norfolk…), but our current setup means we’re not spending enough time with her, and we feel she deserves a new home – and new adventures!

We’ve maintained and serviced her regularly via two local T25 enthusiasts here in Southend, as did the previous owners (who had her for two decades and even got married in her); all is well documented.

Vonnie just turned 40, and she passed her final (compulsory) MOT - with flying colours. She is now MOT and tax exempt, plus it’s great new for anyone living in the ULEZ zone.

Vonnie drives beautifully and is a dream to camp in. We will miss her badly and really want her to go to a loving, fun and caring home.

One immediate issue: the mechanism for the sliding door needs to be fixed. We put a brand new outside handle on, but this has revealed some issued behind the panel. This is reflected in the new price, reduced from £8,500 as previously advertised.

Original Westfalia pop-up roof, with a brand new original Westfalia roof canvas (from Just Campers), which was professional fitted in October 2021. You will always be dry!

You can sleep comfortably upstairs or downstairs (create a rock’n’roll bed by folding the seating ). We had a memory mattress cut, fitted and upholstered (in three easy-to-store pieces) – it works in both spaces.

There’s an audio system with CD player. The speakers need some looking into (not all are working), but there are two in the front, two in the rear.

Four sets of curtains cover the length van (in the back).

We love cooking outside and have kept the interior set up for maximum space and flexibility.

There’s plenty of storage space under the seating bench.

We had the following professionally fitted in October 2021:
• Brand new Westfalia roof canvas
• Leisure battery
• 240V Electrical hook-up (we’ll give you our extension lead with it as well)
• Double USB port in the back, plus extension lead to reach the front
• 12V socket in the back

• New battery (fitted 2023)

• Halfords Advanced Lithium jump starter (3L), handy if the battery has dropped a little after a period on non-use. USB chargeable.
