1987 T25 Camper for sale. Autosleeper conversion.
We have owned this camper for 15 years and have had so many happy trips in it with our family. They are all grown up now and so reluctantly it is time for someone else to create many wonderful memories.
It has covered 113,000 genuine miles and still has the original VW engine. It has the original fittings including cooker, fridge, sink and running water and a gas space heater.
It has two double beds, one up top in the roof and one full bed down below. Both are in excellent original condition. The high top makes it very convenient for storage and travel. You can put all of the camping paraphernalia up top when you are touring leaving the living area free to use. Compared to friends with pop top campers this is sooo convenient!
The van has been very well looked after and is in excellent condition for its year. I have all receipts and MOTs going back to when it was new, almost 40 years ago! It has been regularly serviced with servicing done by VW up until about 50,000 miles. The clutch was changed at 69,000 miles and the engine rebuilt at about 95,000 miles. At some point before I owned it, it has had a professional respray. Recent work has seen the rear brake lines changed, including solid and flexible hoses. Front flexible hoses and new track rod ends and anti roll bar rubbers.
The van comes with MOT until July 2025.
The bodywork is in great overall condition including the front wheel arches and the steps, although there are places where it could do with some minor attention around one of the windows. The underside has been waxoiled in the past and has weather the years very well with minimal corrosion.
I will throw in a Khyam Motordome sleeper awning with the van. It is still solid and watertight and should have a couple more years use in it although the fabric has been weakened in the sun following a few trips to Northern Spain.
The bad bits:
The drivers seat is worn.
The gas space heater is a little temperamental because the leisure battery cannot provide the power.
The leisure battery is a little old and could do with replacing.
Rear wheel bearing noise reported on the last MOT.
On Rear wheel arches the paint is starting to bubble
