VW T25 GOLF GTI 2.0 8V

PANEL VAN IN NARDO GREY - VW T25 (1987)/GOLF GTI (1997)

Owned this van for 2 years but now need to sell to support a bigger project. It’s a great looking van with little to do to bring it up to an excellent standard.

Recent service, clutch, clutch arm, handbrake cable and brake hoses fitted. MOT until November 2024. All previous ancillaries undertaken from last MOT (receipts available in sale). Used for leisure only, reaching about 6000 miles per annum. It’s rare to get a panel van that hasn’t been cut up.

Van comes as follows:

- Golf GTI 2.0 8V fitted in 2019. Runs great and serviced regularly. I will ensure a service is undertaken prior to sale.

- New clutch fitted April 2024 (includes new clutch arm, bushes etc) - £700.

- New bespoke exhaust fitted in Chester in 2023 (lifetime warranty) - £628. Sounds GTI.

- New handbrake cable fitted for MOT 2023

- New brake line rubber hoses fitted for MOT 2023

- New rear slave cylinder and pipe work fitted 2023

- New jacking points surround fitted and welded to driver side for MOT 2023

- New driver side footstep fitted and welded for MOT 2023

- 8” Touch screen and mobile hands-free fitted in 2022

- New speakers fitted in doors in 2022

- New door handles fitted (brickworks) - internal cab.

- New gutter rail trim fitted with ends to exterior of van

- Lowered with extra wide rear alloys and tires

- New air intake system fitted (brickworks - £220.

- Wax oiled to accessible parts

- Extra strong rear lift door struts

- LPG system fitted in 2019 (I have disconnected the electric system as I don’t use it). Re-connection is very simple if you wanted to use LPG. LPG tank is fitted in a position where it would fit underneath a rock and roll bed (see photos). I was going to take it out but left it in just in case I was going to undertake long distance travel. LPG filler connector cap is behind the rear number plate (very tidy)

- Golf GtI 2.0 V8 (1997) fitted in 2019. Approx 79,000 when fitted. I’m not sure what the current mileage is on the GTI engine. I have done approx 6000 miles a year since, so approx 110000 on the engine when taking into account MOT recordings and my additional mileage.

- Belt replaced in 2021 according to previous owner

- Van mileage is 247000, but this means nothing when the engine and most parts have been replaced.

- The engine is strong and is serviced every 6-8 months (oil change, oil filter, spark plugs, spark plug leads, distribution cap, fuel filter)

- Stone chip paint on the roof and lower sills

- New rear and front bumpers fitted in 2022 (includes new side/corner bumpers)

- New window wipers fitted in 2023

- Central seat belt fitted for 2023 MOT

- New aerial fitted 2023

- Good tires all-round

- New battery fitted in 2023

What works:
Heater fan works fine
Lights work fine
Speedo works fine
Water screen washer works fine
Window wipers work fine
Horn works fine
Indicators work fine

Things I would sort if I kept it.
- I would get the original seats upholstered

- I would sort the paint cracks (near window wipers and passenger door - see photos. I’ve been quoted £380 to sort it but haven’t got time to do it.

- I would probably put a rock and roll bed in and a kitchen pod, fit leisure battery, etc.

Next Steps

I'll put some more photos up of the inside shortly (cab and rear). If you want more specific photos or have any questions please get in touch with your details and I’ll send through. I can also send a video .

I would prefer potential buyers coming to see the truck and taking for a test drive, subject to insurance. Happy for you to bring along an RAC mechanic etc.
