1978 late bay vintage VW campervan - all ready to hit the road, not a project!

There are a lot of VW T2 campervans for sale so why buy our campervan? It's an excellent runner with solid body work including underneath and a very liveable interior. It is not concours standard but neither is the price.

We've owned this VW T2 campervan for nearly 14 years (July 2010), when it had already had some major works done in London to bring it back to life including being stripped, primed and resprayed in ivory white and light blue. The underneath was also waxoyled. I don't have the paperwork for this original restoration as I was rather naive when I made the purchase (from eBay) but you can see and test the condition for yourself, viewing is welcomed.

The bodywork and underneath are solid with no major welding required, so this is certainly not a project campervan but ready to get in and drive away for a reasonable price. It drives well with a good clutch, engine and gears. A Vege engine was installed last summer (July 2023) and it has covered less than a handful of miles since (although the odometer says 6000). This was a professionally undertaken engine installation and is fully receipted. We take the campervan out every week to make sure it stays in good running order, and it has always been stored in the garage for the whole time since we’ve owned it. It’s registered as an historic vehicle so it’s both road tax and MOT exempt.

The campervan sleeps 2 adults and 2 small children in a custom made top bed, although when our children grew bigger they moved into the Khyam awning, also included. There is everything you need for a fun campervan holiday or raodtrip, from the fabulous swing-out cooker for outdoor cooking to the indoor sink with electric pump to the stylish cutlery and crockery.
