VW SP2

1972 VW SP2. First year of production and early chassis number of 1414. I have found a matching number plate which is included in the sale.
These are now beyond rare and never come up for sale.
Hayburner cover and feature. Quite a well known SP2 due to it being on air and the capability of it going so low. The rear is on adjustable platforms. I believe it to be the only one in the world on air ride.
The VW Engine Co . fitted a new 1776 engine and reconditioned the gearbox. I have driven it approx 6 miles only since! I have the detailed invoice of course for just over £7500.
It can be driven as it is but to be mint the bodywork does need some attention. I’ll be honest the photos probably make it look better than it is. Unusual maybe for a seller to admit that but I have nothing to lose by being honest as I place the value on it for how it is and not under the pretence of it being perfect. I had considered ratting it and I still think that would look cool.

Absolutely gutted to be selling but that’s life. I just know this would win every show it was entered into.
