1978 VW Camper (Australian conversion) Campmobile.

Foz is a 1978 RHD Vw camper converted in Australia and imported in 2011. We bought her in 2012 and have since restored her to nearly new condition. There are many bills for work done, some from Australia, where the engine was rebuilt in the 90’s. The whole bus including the roof has been repainted in the original colours and every window has been taken out and resealed. She was reupholstered in green and cream German vinyl prior to purchase and the woodwork has since been reveneered. There is a sink and gas cooker, hardly used, and a fridge with a freezer compartment. She has a leisure battery and hookup. She is rust free and sound underneath. In recent years she has had a new Sachs clutch, gear linkage, exhaust box, shocks, coil, HT leads, plugs, fuel regulator, carb service kits and a 123 distributor. She has a 1911 twin carb engine which runs sweetly and starts easily. She has a guaranteed insurance valuation certificate for £36K but far more has been spent! We have a file full of invoices for work and equipment, and service and Mot records. Most work has been done by Henley Beetles and Newmans of Maidenhead, fanatics all.
