The time has come to part with our beautiful 1991 Westfalia California 2.1 DJ petrol injection, which we have owned for the last 5 years. Under the previous owner (9 years), the bodywork was professionally restored along with an interior retrim, with all mechanics and servicing carried out by Brickwerks (well-known T3 specialists).
There is a comprehensive history file of mechanical replacement and renewal throughout the last 15 years of UK ownership, demonstrating how well the van has been maintained regardless of cost! I also have all the past MOT certificates since import.
MOT expiry is June 23 (no advisories last year), but happy to include a new MOT in the sale. The asking price excludes the ARB awning shown in the pics. I have several other accessories that I have bought during our ownership all of which are available if required, listed below.
The van is always parked under cover in a carport.
Thanks for looking!

Faults:
There is an intermittent issue when approaching a stop with the engine feeling like it wants to stall at low revs. Less of an problem if you change down as you slow down. This maybe a mixture issue, but I haven’t wanted to adjust anything and run the risk of upsetting something else as the engine is a joy the rest of the time.
The stitching has come adrift slightly on the rear seat red insert. I had planned to replace the red inserts with something more retro but never got around to it. This aside, the retrimming inside has been beautifully done and all the vinyl work is robust and professionally carried out.
The paintwork isn’t perfect. There are some scuffs and localised imperfections.
The dash digital clock has a connection issue. It’s working in the background as sometimes it does display, but most of the time it doesn’t. I think it’s fixable with some tinkering.
Pure DAB stereo is tuning itself off and on again in a loop. Will need looking at.
