1969 Deluxe microbus.

This was going to be our forever Dub. The only reason I'm selling is that I have neither the time, money or space to complete it. I've owned it for nearly three years and although its UK registered its not been on the road other than for loading and unloading. I should have finished it years ago but I got messed about something chronic by a local superstar dub-nut who took two years to replace the lower front panel and a footwell. Time has caught up with me now and the van must go. ASAP.

This is a very solid van with a lovely patina. OG paint over 95% of exterior. Front panel paint was distressed to match rest of van following replacement. I dont think its the original 1600 lump as number corresponds to been made slightly after the bus. It might be, i dont know. Got its VW birth certificate from VW and copies of its US registration so theres a bit of history with it.

Deluxe interior that is largely complete though requires time and love to restore. My next job was to debond the vinyl from the hardboards and reattach to some high grade hardboard panels. I spent way too long repairing the arm rest air vents but they are done to a high standard. The double bench seat is complete but the triple seat needs a bade and cushion. Driver and passenger seats are in good nick.

Starts, drives and stops but not started going through electrics yet. Window seals are all OG and hence a bit leaky in UK climate. Front screen seal replaced when screen came out to repair a hole in the usual place. Rebate was given 2x coats of red oxide on top of an etch primer before screen went back in. It is a deluxe seal, i just havent got around to putting the trim back in.

I'm open to offers and I wont be offended. It must sell, second kiddy on the way and still struggling to afford the first one!
