Was converted and fully restored in 2016. Almost every moving part has been renewed or upgraded since then. Every panel on the van was replaced during the restoration. It is painted in original VW pallet colours of Brilliant Orange and white. This is a solid van. It has been undersealed twice, most recently this year.
The van has a lot of power due to the reconditioned VW Mk3 Gti 2.0 ltr petrol engine, which was installed during the restoration in 2016. The engine has also had an Autogas conversion and also runs on LPG so is very economical to run. LPG is cheaper than the cost of petrol (depending on where you buy it) and is about the same milage per litre. It has just over 24k on it since it was reconditioned and has been regularly serviced with a variety of parts replaced recently, including the whole of the ignition system. All fuel pipes have also been replaced.
The van sounds brilliant with the new stainless-steel exhaust. It’s a pleasure to drive and very reliable. Due to the power steering and 711 gear-shift upgrade it drives almost like a modern car. It has also had recent upgrades to the front and rear brakes. The front discs replaced with a perforated set up and rear drums replaced with a T4 disc set up. Includes all the pads, callipers, and braded hose pipes etc the wheels and tyres were also upgraded at the same time as the brakes and has 15” Ronal Penta’s all round along with a full set of cross-climate (all season) Michelin Aquilis 205/16R 15C tyres. The handling and breaking are excellent. The rear wheel carrier houses a brand-new, full-size steel wheel and tyre (unused). Wheel arch flares also add character to a great looking bus.
In the last 18 months we have also remodelled the inside of the van. We have had a full width bed (this has 3 x 3-point seat belts) installed by M1 Camperbeds, so it is luxury on wheels. The difference is brilliant. There is also the usual cooker and fridge (240/12 v/Gas), and a nice new set of draw curtain’s all round, recent leisure and starter batteries, front swivel seat etc the pop top also sleeps 2 (although it would be tight for adult’s children are fine). Security-wise the van is fitted with an alarm, immobiliser, and additional security is available if required.
There is an ARB side mounted awning, along with an ARB room (unused) that attaches underneath.
There are also a variety of spare parts, including a purpose made accelerator cable, and other bits. Hook-up lead and trolley jack included. Plus, fire extinguisher.
And there are probably a few other things that have slipped my mind for the moment.
The milage reads 198k but the van was reborn at 173k

Other info:
The van also has:
Window wind deflectors (JK), a dash pod wiring upgrade (CVC), a front headlight wiring loom upgrade that boosts brightness by 25-30% (SHS), a dash tidy tray (JK) and truck mirrors, that don’t fold in at speed and provide brilliant visibility. There is also a ‘Buddy seat’ if wanted.
Also included is the ‘donor engine’ information and manual, along with the VW T25 manual.
There is also a Propex gas heater installed in the van which is not working. Not sure why, but I will allow a discount for the new owner/s to have it repaired.
