VW T25 ex German fire service van 1986 4 speed petrol

Up for sale is my VW T3 ex feuerwehr 1.9l  petrol
4 speed gear box.

Purchased by me directly from the fire service in Borken in 2011 and imported to England where I have been enjoying the van since.  No longer used it has done very little km in the last 3 years.  It is time now to return it to its homeland.

Recent work
Engine rebuild in 2021, less than 100km since.
New fuel tank and related items eg. Fuel filler tube, filter
Replaced panel around fuel cap, repaint
Body work repair to cargo door, repaint

The engine re-build has transformed this van. The engine starts on the button, ticks over sweetly, and runs like silk,  like a  new van ready for another 37 years.

Bodywork
The body is in really good condition for its age with very little rust and only 2 small lengths of steam rash.
Panels very straight, mostly original
Some rough paint on the nearside front wheel arch
Small dent to left hand side of tailgate
Paint peeling on drivers doof

Exterior
Blue light and siren unit working
Aerial on roof

Interior
Rear bench seat and mid bench seat present with seat belts allowing 7 passengers.
Original floor mats in cab and cargo

Bad bits:
The repair panel surrounding the fuel cap needs repainting in the correct colour code.
Paint on the nearside door has started to flake.
Rear bumper slightly distorted.
The base of the drivers seat is disintegrating.
The ash tray is broken.
