We have owned this van for around 2 1/2 years, purchasing it from a local elderly gent who had owned it for over 35 years originally purchasing it from the original owner in the early 80’s. This van is MOT and Tax exempt due to its age and its historic vehicle class.
We have tried to keep the van as original as possible on the inside and as such, the van is in almost original condition as to how it would have left Autohomes in 1981, with the exception of a few modern touches to bring it up to speed with more modern campervans.
Interior features below:
2 ring Gas burners incl Grill
Sink + working tap (large onboard water tank under the seat)
Working 2 way fridge (Gas/12V)
240V hook up
Swivelling passenger chair
Night diesel heater with LCD display
Leisure battery split charge set up
Various USB/12V sockets throughout
Upgraded modern radio unit + speakers
Plenty of storage space
Original upholstery
Exterior additional features added by ourselves during our ownership include genuine Hella fog lights, Stainless twin exit exhaust and 17” Empi fuschs reps (tyres all good)
The exterior of this bus is solid with the exception of some minor seam rash and some rust to the offside outer sill. I have tended to minor issues throughout our ownership but never got round to touching in the bodywork repairs with the matching colour, but at least this way you can see you are getting an honest T25.
The engine is strong and pulls well and the gearbox is very solid on this bus, we have taken her all over including several trips to the southwest and a recent tour of Wales and she has never let us down. I have regularly changed the oil and filter as well as other service items and have also done other works such as changing the gearbox oil and renewing the entire gear linkage during our ownership. In addition to this I changed the fuel lines for new E10 safe fuel lines earlier this year from Brickwerks.
I have a very extensive folder of paperwork and history right back to the early 80’s to further back up the van and its history, as well as a Haynes manual.
Genuine reason for sale, will be sad to see it go. Any inspections welcome, viewing recommended and encouraged.
