I’m reluctantly selling “Bilbo”, our 1978 Bay. He’s a leftie and was imported from Holland in 1981/2, hence the X plate. I’ve got copies of all the logbooks right back to then.
I’ve owned him for c12 years now and he’d had a full refurb before I bought him. We’ve looked after him very well and all servicing is done by our local VW classic expert. I had a new (recon) 1600 air-cooled engine a year after we bought him and we’ve done less than 10k miles in that time, using him mainly for festivals.
The body work is mostly sound and the chassis is excellent, having been wax oiled. Original wheels and hubcaps.
He has a full width bed which is extremely comfortable for 2
