Classic VW T2 Bay Campervan 1972 £16,950
Price - £16,950.00 Based on the Wirral ‘Boo’ is a 1972 model campervan, 1600cc and tax exempt. He has just passed his MOT and is always garaged to protect him from the weather. Very reluctant sale due to changes in our financial position. We bought him in 2007, and he’s toured all over the UK even featuring in VolksWorld Camper and Bus Aug 2008! We have FSH since purchase, he has been to the same local specialist for all MOTs and servicing, and he always turns heads wherever he goes! He had a complete body and paint restoration in 2010 and comes with a set of white 5-spoked EMPI wheels – we still have the original wheels in case you would prefer a more authentic look. Body work is in very good condition although there are some rust spots around the inside of the doors. The suspension has been completely replaced so that it is lower but not fully lowered to the extreme. There is a roof rack and the matching white pop top does not leak. Interior - Full width rock and roll bed with covers that match the paintwork with 2 children’s stretcher style bunks. Bespoke curtains and very unusually the driver and passenger seats are blue Recaro racing car seats. Original cooker with secure storage cupboard for the gas tanks, original swing table and a new fridge that we put in. In the cab Bluetooth Stereo, ipod input, 12v cigarette lighter connector, immobiliser and all round alarm system. Van battery has a cut-off switch to prevent any chance of running the battery flat. There is a leisure battery for interior lights as well as 240v electric hook up with 2 standard sockets. It will come with a traditional drive away frame awning which is perfect for setting up ‘base camp’ but if you’re only stopping for the night it also comes with a lightweight side canopy – add an enclosing windbreak and you’re all set for the night. All electrical hook up leads and extensions included. Also looks great when done up with ribbons for weddings! Any questions please ask. Viewing and road test recommended.
