VW T25 1.9DG, 1984, Devon Conversions, Aerospace Roof
For Sale is a 1984 VW T25 1.9 Petrol. This is a 'Devons Conversions Moonraker' with the unusual 'Aerospace' pop-top - Approximately 50 made with this roof. The van has covered 41203 miles at time of listing (likely to increase every so slightly), Genuine mileage checking back through all MOT's and it adds up. Lots of paperwork from the previous owner, including a new engine around 2018, paper work for proof. I have owned it since February 2021 and have carried out extensive body work and mechanical work to the vehicle to keep it in good running condition. I have driven around 5000 miles in it, including a summer along the south coast, and more recently 1 month trip around Scotland and it has always driven faultlessly and never failed on me. Below is a long list of work i have carried out, I am a fully trained technician so you can assure all work has been carried out to the highest standard possible; New roof material 4 X new pop top gas struts Full service ; oil , filter, air filter, spark plugs in February 2022 New rotor arm New distributor cap Fresh coolant New radiator New coolant reservoir cap (and a spare) New temp control valve Timing reset New gear reduction WASP starter motor New starter motor to main battery wiring (uprated) New starter relay to take the strain off the ignition barrel Start button (hidden) New earth strap at gearbox Additional earth strap at engine Carb rebuilt and cleaned New manual override switch for radiator fan for emergencies/long climbs up steep hills New upgraded alternator wiring New alternator New auxiliary belt New fuel supply lines with uprated fuel filter New fuel return lines Fuel tank flushed out Fuel tank seals replace Fuel tank breather system replaced New vacuum pipes in engine bay Retrofitted drivers and passengers seat from a seat Leon All 4 corners rust cut out and welded, many pictures to show repairs (150 hours spent over 4 months repairing the rust) New rear arm spring mounts fabricated and welded in place New panels and steps on all 4 corners where required Underslung water tank - all pipes and pumps replaced Sliding door rail cleaned and treated (Offside also cleaned and treated) gas bottle Cabinets wrapped to appear more modern Undersealed New accelerator cable New fuel pump New coolant reservoir and level sensor New coolant temperature sensor and wiring New leisure battery New Clutch New Flywheel New rear main seal New Engine mounts Body work weld repairs sprayed (not professionally, however a VERY good job for DIY in my opinion) Diesel heater installed (keeps the van nice and warm at night) This conversion comes equipped with a 3-way Fridge, which works very well, a 2 Hob burner, a hot plate and a grill. All working ok. This also has 240 mains hook up installed. The van is very modern looking inside, yet very retro looking on the outside. The van can comfortably sleep 2 adults on the bed. It also has a pop top roof, which can comfortably sleep 2 more adults when up, or splits into 2 children sized beds either end of the roof. I have a big folder of pictures of this van throughout repairs I have done. Passed it last MOT in December with no advisories. Very reliable and interesting looking van, perfect first camper and very confident it will take you anywhere and everywhere you want it to. Reason for sale is I am hoping to get a slightly bigger van - not in any rush to sell this van, and really dont want to part with it so will NOT accept any silly offers.
