VW T2 Classic 1974 Campervan

The Volkswagen Campervan is an Iconic image, recognised all over the world and ideal for holiday adventures, lazy days at the beach or a short camping trips and BBQs with your friends and family.

We purchased Pippa in April 2021 with a view of renting her out, however our personal circumstances have now changed, and we are no longer planning on doing this so we have decided to put her on the market.

Pippa left the Wolfsburg, Auto-Museum in Germany on 13th June 1973 and has had a lot of love, money and time spent on her since. Prior to our ownership, Pippa had her 1642cc engine rebuilt by Harry Harpics and a full body restoration in 2015. She also had Lite Steer- Power Steering installed and was lowered by approximately 4cm, running on replica Porsche style gas burner wheels. She has always been kept mechanically at her best and is currently MOT’d until April 2022 and comes with a huge history dating back to day one including her MOTs, the drivers handbook and original birth certificate.

She is two berth, with the original pop top (albeit with a new canvas) and a rare front sun roof, is right hand drive and has a bright orange and pastel white two tone exterior which now runs throughout the interior too.

She’s had all her interior removed and brand spanking new furniture installed, including a rock and roll bed and cushions, interior panels and seat covers, a new cooker and sink (SMEV 9722) with pump and fridge (Dometic CRX50) both of which run off the mains and leisure batteries. When we designed the interior, we decided to install an inverter to allow the users to use their laptop if they wanted so there is double socket that is hooked up to the mains and another that is hooked up to the inverter which can be run off of the leisure battery (allowing you to watch movies on your laptop when you’re in bed without the need to be hooked up to the mains!).

She comes with her original 1970s awning and a cover along with a campsite and house mains hook up, we’ve also replaced all the locks so you now only need one key for the ignition and one key for the rest of the locks and we have also had an immobiliser/ alarm fitted for security.
