1977 T2 Bay Window Devon
Frank is a 1977 T2 Bay Window Devon conversion Camper Van. It's with a heavy heart we need to sell him, but we will unfortunately be unable to make proper use of him in the coming years. Over the past 12 years, he’s had a reconditioned engine installed (certificate attached), a complete respray (see pictures of new 'Florida Blue’ campervan) and some work to the interior including replacing the original seats and new flooring. He's also had a new fuel tank, brake pads and exhaust fitted. He’s minimalist on the interior - a lot of what’s in there is still original - and he doesn’t have a fitted oven or table (but all the parts for a table to be fitted are there, e.g. legs and bracket). The counter is currently just over 43,000 miles, which means we’ve only done about 13,000 miles since the new engine was fitted about 8.5 years ago. His current pop-top roof is in working condition, however we recently also purchased a rare Devon roof (image included) in order to increase the ‘upstairs’ sleeping space. You could purchase the roof separately from us if you wished and either instal this yourselves, or we have a great VW restoration contact who could do this for you; this would be an amazing long term investment. In terms of minor wear and tear, there are two patches of ‘bubbling’ where there are very small patches of rust which could be easily remedied. There’s also a small crack on the windscreen, but we’ve had it checked and it’s fine. The hub caps also need replacing quite soon as they are a little rusty, but these can be found quite easily on eBay. Frank is also tax exempt as he falls into the historic vehicle category.
