PRICE REDUCED! VW T2 1972 Pop-top Westfalia Campervan. New engine. MOT & Tax exempt.

Our much-loved 1972 blue and white T2 with original Westfalia conversion is now for sale as we no longer have the time to enjoy her! MOT and tax except, agreed valuation for insurance purposes in 2020-21 was £20,000.

She has served us well in numerous trips across the UK and Europe. We bought her in 2000 and since then have lavished her with care including: a full bodywork restoration in 2004; new gas pipework in 2005; interior completed removed, extensive welding repairs to jacking points, outer floor support sections, floor sections, front seat bases, front inner panel & inner sills and new wooden floor fitted in 2014; original 1700cc engine replaced with 2000cc engine and dual carb conversion in 2020.

Engine is brand new and barely driven (mileage counter was not reset when engine was installed), the exterior bodywork is in good condition and the interior is very good for its age. Upholstery is original Westfalia. The conversion has a rock and roll bed, two burner gas hob, cold box, sink (water pump tap is not working), table, cupboards and wardrobe. The pop top is fully working and has an additional double in the roof.

Downsides are: pop top needs a new canvas, front passenger seat is ripped, tap on kitchen sink doesn't work, some small areas of rust spots on the body work which will require attention in time but apart from that she is good to go!
