The tour starts on Wednesday 29th April at the Eurostar Terminal. Once in France we will head to Belgium for our first experience, visiting the popular BBT4VW in Sint-Job-in-'t-Goor. For those who aren't aware, BBT is a Volkswagen Specialist with a major passion for air-cooled parts, collectibles and rarities. You will be able to tour their facilities and immerse yourself in all things classic VW.

After a night in Belgium our adventure continues on to Hannover, Germany where you can explore the sights and sounds of this beautiful city before enjoying early access to the 1st of May Show in the evening.

After breakfast, you’ll continue onto Messeparkplatz to experience one of the biggest VW events of the year. Nearly 10,000 Volkswagen fans make the pilgrimage to the 1st May show every year to experience the very best of unique and interesting VWs and trade stands. If you’ve been looking for that elusive part ….. you may just find it here. This is definitely a show to tick off your bucket list!

1st May Show 1st May Show

On Saturday 2nd May the tour plans to visit the Grundmann’s Museum in Hessisch, Oldendorf.  The tour will allow you to view an extremely rare private collection of Gautrabb and Christian Grundmann’s and Jens Meusel’s personal vehicles.

After this, the journey continues onwards to Wolfsburg, the home of Volkswagen.  Find out more about Mark & David's trip to Wolfsburg and the Stiftung AutoMuseum

On Sunday morning we will visit the Stiftung AutoMuseum where a significant collection of classic VWs through the ages is housed. In the afternoon the tour will visit the Autostadt exhibit adjacent to the VW factory. We then enjoy our final night of the main tour in our central Wolfsburg hotel as a group and on Monday it’s a drive back to Calais for the journey home.  That ends the main body of the tour, however, there is an optional extension to consider.

The Just Kampers 2020 European Tour is the tour we’ve always wanted to take ourselves, and we really hope you can join us too.

One more thing. Whilst we've concluded the main body of the tour, we realised when we were planning the route that the drive back to Calais from Wolfsburg was quite long, in distance and time. So we’ve added an optional extension to the tour which will see us drive home via the world-famous Spa-Francorchamps F1 circuit, staying overnight at the Radisson Blu Palace Hotel and Spa. (It's pretty nice!) Our plan at Spa is to get up on Tuesday morning, have breakfast and then take some time driving a number of parade laps in our VWs.  Whilst we can't guarantee the track time (That's up to the circuit management to approve on the day), they have, at the time of going to press, indicated that we are welcome to use the circuit for a number of parade laps in our VWs as it's a non-motorsport event day at the circuit. At the very least we'll get some good pictures of our cars and campers at the circuit and have a super evening together (and a much more relaxing drive back to Calais!)
