A few of the JK Team took part in a Surfers Against Sewage beach clean earlier this month, heading to East Wittering to clean up as much plastic and litter as we could!

Just Kampers is proud to partner with Surfers Against Sewage as members of their Ocean Network. Getting hands-on with a beach clean is a great way to take another practical step towards reducing single-use plastics and clearing up our waterways. That’s why a few of the JK Team headed down to East Wittering to take part in a beach clean.

It was a really lovely morning, too! The sun shone, our families met up, our dogs played together, and we enjoyed some time together outdoors.

Gemma from the JK Team is also a regional rep for Surfers Against Sewage, and told us that in total 27 volunteers turned up on the day, and between us we helped remove 70kg of plastic pollution from the beach!

Thank you from Gemma and the rest of the JK Team to everyone that came, collected, and chatted.

Win, our Finance Director, also took some time out from his short trip to Cape Town, South Africa to support Surfers Against Sewage.

Plastic and litter on our beaches are a global issue and Win wanted to raise awareness by joining our JK Team to help clean the stunning beach at Bloubergstrand in Cape Town with its absolutely stunning backdrop of Table Mountain.

We’ll be organising more beach cleans throughout the year, so we’re looking forward to seeing you at another beach clean soon.
