A load of us from the JK Team headed to Wheels Day 2023 on Good Friday, to check out one of our favourite shows of the year.

Wheels Day has been going strong since 1974, and is held each year at the Rushmore Arena which isn't too far from JK HQ and just around the corner from where a few of us tackled the icy-cold Grim Challenge in December.

It's always a really great show, with a chilled-out vibe and a back-to-basics feel. There's hundreds of different hotrods, cars, bikes, trucks, campers, vans, and all sorts of other vehicles parked side-by-side in no particular order, which makes wandering through the rows of classics pretty exciting.

The range of cool vehicles and low-key atmosphere makes battling your way through the traffic to get to the show well worth it, especially as we were there while Andy Saunders was being interviewed on the radio about all the different record-breaking vehicles he's built over his career.

As well as admiring all the classic VWs and brushing up on our hotrod knowledge, a lot of us made tours of the different trade stands around the outside of the arena where people were selling everything from vintage hotwheels to ancient-looking spares and accessories for all sorts of different vehicles.

It was really cool to see so many people gather together to appreciate such a broad range of vehicles from different decades, and we'll definitely be there once again next year!

Our resident photographer, Nick, headed to the show with his camera and got some great shots, which you can check out below.
