It’s been a wild week here, with the VW show season in full swing and you lot sending in orders thick and fast, and it’s taken us this long to catch our breath and talk about how awesome Classics at the Clubhouse was last weekend!

Sunday 19 June saw a massive number of gorgeous aircooled Volkswagens and Porsches gather at the Sandford Springs Golf Club, displacing people in jazzy trousers and spiky shoes who had to make room for a huge fleet of classic cars.

We proudly sponsor the event, and of course went along ourselves – even if we hadn’t been sponsoring it, we wouldn’t miss Classics at the Clubhouse!

Our newly-restored D&S was on display at the event, as well as a few other cars from the JK fleet, all parked up on the pristine golfing grounds alongside hundreds of other classics.

The event was so popular this year that additional space had to be found, and extra tickets run out, to make sure that everyone who wanted to could attend – a great indicator of just how good the event is.

It was great to be able to spend the day taking a look around, spotting loads of vehicles we hadn’t seen before, and chatting to people about the D&S and all sorts of other stuff.

A massive thanks to PJ and the rest of the Classics at the Clubhouse team for putting on such an excellent show – we’re already looking forward to the next one!

Mark Reynolds, who founded JK back in 1989, headed straight from Classics at the Clubhouse to Germany for the Petermax Müller event, and is now at Hessisch Oldendorf 2022, so it’s been a hectic week for him, as well as us!
