Today marks the 10th year of our exclusive Preservation Parts range, which includes some of the highest quality parts and accessories we stock.

We launched Preservation Parts back on 4 July 2012, after literally searching across the world for the best quality products for classic VWs. We wanted to provide you with a single, expansive range of different parts and accessories which you knew were excellent quality, easy to install and would last for years to come.

Having found the core of the range from trusted manufacturers like Gemo and Hella, we decided that the best way to ensure we were stocking excellent quality metalwork for panels and accessories was to have it produced ourselves.

Fortunately, the unit next to ours at JK HQ in Odiham, Hampshire, belongs to a team of incredibly talented automotive fabricators, who have the skills, experience and equipment to create outstanding metalwork to the exact same specifications as the original parts made by Volkswagen, which your VW left the factory with!

We approached Fintan, who runs the Coachworks business next door to Just Kampers, and he said he was definitely up to the challenge. It started off with a few of these distinctive grey panels in our Preservation Parts range, but now we’ve got around 170 different products on the shelves here at JK HQ.

Last week we caught up with Fintan for a quick chat, while we filmed his team working away to produce some VW T2 Bay offside battery trays:
