Broadstairs holds an annual, weekend-long festival each year to celebrate the life and work of Charles Dickens, who regularly visited the town during his lifetime.
For the 2023 festival, the main play will be Great Expectations, and there'll be a huge number of other performances, readings, events and activities throughout the weekend. Many of these will require a small fee, but these often offer a discount if you're clad in suitable Dickensian attire!
