Customer Reviews
  1. Excellent

What else to say other than if your planning on staying in your van during the winter months then this is a serious bit of kit to consider installing. It takes a few hours and the most disconcerting thing is cutting 2 holes in the floor of your van. It comes with a template so you just have to make sure your happy with the location, pilot drill to ensure you have the room and be brave. Propex themselves are an excellent company to deal with via customer service. I had to call them due to an issue (more operator error than product) and they had it back working again within 30 seconds. I run a 4kg campingaz bottle to it with a 28mbar regulator and it had no problems working at -5 below. It does draw quite a lot of power initially whilst warming but once it reaches thermostat temperature it doesn’t tend to need much to keep it at that temperature. Lastly - it’s hot, very hot! I have it set to the lowest setting on the dial in my van and comfortably sit there in shorts. Definitely recommended.

  2. Excellent product, helps turn us fair weather campers into off grid

Had the heater on my wish list for a few years and when JK did a bundle offer promotion, took the plunge and very glad I did.
Fits beautifully under the main seat and still leaves a good amount of storage once boxed in.
It does a great job of heating the van. We did two cold nights camping with no hook up and stayed toasty warm. The thermostat worked well, the position of it is important. You just turn the heater dial and the heating kicks in when the temp goes below that. It’s not silent but relatively quiet and didn’t disturb us in the night.
We also go the add on adaptor so you can use it while driving which is useful if it’s a very cold day for the passenger in the back.
Thoroughly recommend it if you’re not a hardy camper and like your creature comforts, like not getting hypothermia.
It has transformed our freedom and view of camping. An excellent investment that both I (and especially my wife who hates the cold) are delighted with.

  3. NICE AND HOT.

Very easy to fit. You just need a drill and a hole cutter set. Can pick a cheap one up for £8. Plus a tape measure and screwdriver.
Took me about 2 hours. Probably do one in a hour now.
Just turn on set temp and thats it. Nice warm van. Just adjust temp till you get what suits you. Unit turns of when temp is reached and back on when it drops again. No naked flames in the van so totally safe.
Bit of noise from blower but you would expect that from a blow air heater. But not to loud as to bother you.
    Would highly recommend to anyone.
