Door Storage Pods (Barndoor) VW T5 2003–2015 & VW T6 2015–2024

These great quality storage pods are a quick and easy way to increase the storage space in your VW Transporter.

Fits VW T5s and T5.1s built from 2003 to 2015, and VW T6s and T6.1s built from 2015 to 2024 with ‘barn door’ double rear doors.

A lot of us struggle to make the most of all the space inside our campers, which is why we’ve designed and created these JK Barn Door Storage Pods for the VW T5 and VW T6.

They’re really easy to fit, and just clip on to your Transporter’s barn doors using the existing mounting holes for the door cards. Once they’re installed, they give you even more storage space in your camper, so you can store essentials that you want to be able to access easily.

Storage Pod Dimensions:

This size makes them large enough to store everything from books and bottles of water, through to folding camping chairs!

This kit contains:

• 2 x black canvas door storage pods,
• 24 x securing clips, enough to fit both storage pods.

Each of the storage pods comes with a rigid plastic back layer, which makes it nice and easy to install into the existing door trim mounting holes once you’ve removed the existing trim.

How Do I Fit the JK Storage Pods?

We’ve made sure that our storage pods are really easy to install, and can be done with basic tools. Fitting them doesn’t take long at all, and involves the following steps:

First, remove the existing door trim from your Transporter’s barn doors. You can do with with a trim removal tool, or very carefully pry them off with a flathead screwdriver.

Next, push the included fir tree clips through the holes on the lower end of your storage pod, so that the ends poke out from the inside. This will make it easier to align them and fit the rest.

When this is done, you can line the clips up with the existing holes in your camper’s rear doors, which are visible now that you’ve removed the trim. Once each one is lined up, firmly press on it to push the trim clip into the hole.

You can now repeat this process with the remaining clips. Once you’ve pushed through all of the fir tree clips on both storage pods, double check that each of them is pushed all the way in and is nice and secure.
