This blackout campervan curtain set is designed for the forward side window opposite the sliding door on your Ford Transit Custom, helping keep the warmth in, the light out, and your van more private.
Exclusive to Just Kampers, these curtains are made from high-quality knitted jersey fabric with a double-layer construction to help block sunlight and provide an additional layer of insulation. They’re bespoke designed for the window and supplied with pre-formed rails and the required fitting hardware.
Fits: Ford Transit Customs built from 2013 to 2024.
These curtains are designed to fit the offside (right-hand) forward side window on right-hand drive Ford Transit Customs. This is the window located opposite the sliding door.
Please note: On left-hand drive Ford Transit Customs, the sliding door is on the offside (right), so a different curtain set is required. See J43184 and J43182.
Created to fit neatly around the forward side window, these curtains will fit snugly to help block out light and prying eyes. The pre-bent curtain rails are already shaped to suit the window, so there’s no need to cut or modify them yourself.
What’s included?
• Blackout curtain panels for the forward side window
• Pre-formed, pre-drilled curtain rails
• The hooks, gliders, end caps, screws, eyelets and other fittings needed to install the curtains
The curtains are made from high-quality knitted jersey fabric, which is hard-wearing, soft and stretchy. The black side faces the window to help block and absorb sunlight, while the grey side faces into the van and works well with most interior styles.
The double-layer construction helps trap warmth inside the vehicle while camping and provides an additional layer of insulation against heat and cold. The opaque material also helps prevent sunlight from getting through and disturbing your sleep.
Why should I buy these curtains for my Ford Transit Custom?
These curtains have been bespoke designed for the forward side window on Ford Transit Customs, making them a great addition whether you’re converting your van into a camper or simply want greater privacy when parked up.
They’re particularly useful if you camp in sunny locations or enjoy a lie-in, helping to keep bright morning sunlight out of the van. They can also help prevent people from seeing inside your vehicle, while the dual-layer construction provides an additional layer of insulation.
The curtain rails have already been shaped to the correct dimensions for the window, making installation simpler. The curtain fabric has also been cut and sewn to the correct shape, helping minimise gaps around the edges where light could otherwise sneak through.
Fitting:
The rails are supplied ready to fit. Fitting generally involves positioning the rails, marking and drilling where required, securing the rails with the supplied fixings, and attaching the curtains to the gliders/hooks.
The fabric may need to be stretched during installation to create the pleated finish. Basic hand tools and suitable eye protection are recommended. If you’re unsure about fitting them yourself, professional fitting or a conversion garage may be preferable.
