The stone-grey layer faces the inside of the camper, and the black layer faces outward. These curtains don’t just offer a simple and stylish appearance, they do much more than that! On hot days, the black layer absorbs light and heat from the sun, that would otherwise leak straight into your interior without protection. The grey layer then provides an additional barrier to prevent the transfer of heat to the inside of your vehicle. On cold days the two fabric layers prevent cold air from creeping into your interior by providing effective insulation.

Jersey fabric This fabric consists of a cross-knit fibre composition that provides a dense texture and therefore high opacity when stretched. This fibre pattern is what makes these curtains so effective at blocking light. The curtains require stretching between the poles for fitting, so a dense material is imperative to ensure a high-quality product.

To install the curtains, the fabric needs stretching between the curtain rails; we chose jersey fabric because when stretched the material folds upon itself slightly to display a drape effect, which is perfect for providing that homely curtain effect. The fabric has been tested to the 95/28 EC standard, which means it is approved for flame resistance and will be a safe addition to your camper conversion.

The rails and fittings:

All of our curtains come with pre-drilled and pre-bent aluminium rails plus all the required fittings. This includes screws, end stops and gliders. This makes the installation process much faster for the average fitter. To install the curtains, locate the gliders which are pre sewn into the curtain edge and slip them onto the curtain rail. Once you slide all of them on, you should secure them with the end caps provided.
