At a glance:

• Designed and created by Fiamma, so you know it’s excellent quality

• Fits inside a Deep Black aluminium case, which is coated to withstand the elements,

• The canvas is Royal Grey, and has been treated to withstand damage from UV light,

• Quick and simple to mount, and can be easily removed from the side of your Transporter,

• Winds out manually, so you won’t have to hook it up to your vehicle’s electrics,

• Gives you 5.8 square meters of shaded space in moments.

The Fiamma F40 270:

One of Fiamma’s range of popular vehicle awnings, the F40 270 has been created to work perfectly with the VW T5 or T6. It’s a quick and easy way to add some extra shade and shelter for you, your family and your camping gear, and looks really cool on the side of your van. Mounted in a Deep Grey case, the F40 looks stylish when mounted to the side of your Transporter, without drawing the eye.

The casing has been designed to be light weight, while also resisting the elements and any damage from low tree branches on country roads and other camping hazards! The F40 can be mounted to left-hand drive or right-hand drive vans using a tailored fitting bracket set, which fits to the mounting holes in the roof of your van. This means you can fit the brackets to your roof, and then add or remove the awning itself, depending on whether you’ll need it on your trip.

For right-hand drive vans you’ll need J43057, and for left-hand drive vehicles you’ll need J43058. The material of the awning is finished in Royal Grey, so it will go with any van without being eye-catching. It’s also really easy to roll out or put away again.

Using your F40 awning:

There’s no need to wire the F40 into your vehicle’s electrical system and worry about its power draw, as it winds in and out manually. Included with the F40 270 awning kit is a handy winding tool, with a crank handle on one and which turns a hook at the other. When you want to wind the awning canvas in or out, just attach the hook end of the tool to the metal loop on the awning case, and turn the handle.

The hook will spin the loop, and draw the awning out or tuck it away again. You won’t need to be tall enough to reach the awning case, or particularly strong to wind it in and out. The winding mechanism has been designed to be really easy, so anyone can make use of the F40 awning.

Attaching the F40 to your VW Transporter:

The Fiamma F40 270 has been designed to perfectly fit on the side of the roof of the VW T5 and T6, over the sliding door. A two-part mounting bracket kit will let you fit the awning on either a right-hand drive vehicle or a left-hand drive vehicle, depending on which you need. To mount the F40 over the nearside (left) sliding door on a right-hand drive Transporter, you’ll need J43057.
