Frequently Asked Questions
What is Koni known for?
Are Koni shock absorbers suitable for Volkswagen campervans?
Yes. Koni shock absorbers are a popular upgrade for Volkswagen Transporters, campervans and motorhomes. Camper conversions often add significant weight to a vehicle, which can affect handling and ride comfort. Koni dampers are designed to provide improved control, stability and comfort, helping to reduce body roll, improve cornering confidence and create a more composed driving experience whether travelling on motorways, country roads or touring routes.
Are Koni shock absorbers suitable for lowered Volkswagens?
Yes. Certain Koni suspension ranges, including Koni Sport dampers, are specifically designed to work with lowered suspension setups. These products can help maintain ride quality and suspension control while supporting improved handling characteristics. Can Koni dampers be fitted at home?
Many experienced DIY enthusiasts can fit shock absorbers and suspension components using the correct tools and workshop procedures. However, suspension work can involve specialised equipment and safety considerations, so professional installation is recommended if you are unsure. After fitting suspension components, wheel alignment checks may also be required depending on the vehicle and the work carried out.
What is the Koni Special Active range?
Koni Special Active dampers feature advanced frequency-selective damping technology that automatically adapts to changing road conditions. This allows the suspension to provide improved comfort over uneven surfaces while delivering enhanced stability and control during cornering, braking and higher-speed driving. They are a popular choice for drivers looking to balance comfort and performance without compromising either. Shop Koni Suspension at Just Kampers
