Caliper rebuild kit for VW T2 Bays 71 to 79 and T25s 79 to 86 with ATE calipers. Kit contains two new piston seals, two dust seals and the retaining springs.
Each kit refurbishes one caliper. We recommend that you always replace braking parts as a pair. If your T2 has Girling calipers you need part 211698471B which we can't supply unfortunately

Did the job nicelyExcellent repair kit that enabled me to restore my genuine VW ATS calipers rather than have to replace them with repro's. My kit also included a pair of seals for the caliper halves (mine weren't leaking, so I chose not to split mine and change those). Only one bleed nipple 'cap' is included per kit and some calipers (inc. mine) have two bleed nipples, but luckily a couple of my existing ones were OK.
It's a straightforward job once you've got the pistons out (an air compressor helps mightily with that part). Clean everything up (with fine sandpaper if necessary), blow it all clean and then reassemble with the new seals. (Obviously if you've got scoring or serious rust then you're still gonna have to buy new ones)
A coat of heat resistant caliper paint, four new nipples(!) and they genuinely look better than new. And both calipers fully restored for less than the cost of a single replacement. That's got to be better for the environment too. What's not to like?Posted on

Good quality kitI bought this kit and it worked as expected. My kit also included a sachet of grease to lubricate the piston and seal. It also came with a bleed nipple dust cover, which was good but I wish this had been mentioned in the description as it would have saved me from buying one separately.

Well made and perfect fitVery a well made and a perfect fit, exactly what I needed to sort out my joker calipers, saved me a packet on buying exchange calipers I just rebuilt the originals!

Very good productVery good product, fitted very well and looked well made. One little niggle was there was only one cover for the bleed nipple and the caliper had 2 bleed nipples......
