New Boots..!
I changed these out on my bus as the old ones were split, and I knew it was an MOT failure. I took the time to clean and re-grease the CV joints and paint the shafts before I put everything back together. The kits are perfect with no problems at all.
I would recommend you buy a couple of spare CV Boot Flange Plates, as if you need to cut a seized bolt or two off to remove them, you will probably damage the plates. I only needed to cut one off (why is it always the last one!?). Also be aware that the kits require the spline tool for the new bolts. My original bolts were hex (cap head) and the new ones are spline... not torx, spline..!
Great kit, not too hard to fit providing nothing is siezed.by Blackmax on 31/01/2014

Save your engine!change the boots
Strictly speaking not an MOT fail as the cv s don't form part of the steering. But as i found out when replacing the oil cooler;the near side inboard boot when over greased(oops!) and then splits can and did throw grease everywhere and the engine fan sucked some of it up through the oil cooler inlet duct which started to gunge up the cooler. When it gets hot the grease melts and starts to coat all the cooler, road dust does the rest.Good quality but a little disappointed that the bolts were back to hex heads.I'll probably reuse the old spline bolts from the last boot kit i fitted.by stevetheoptimist on 15/07/2014
