  • Fits perfect and looks just like the original.

I agree with what Gavlad has written, although I'm not so worried about the fact the water bottle needs to be filled completely, as my van is only used occationally. I would also go as far as saying that the swtch is good quality? Maybe they have changed the design. The switch does not look out of place, it is of metal body design, with a bakelite type plastic pull/push knob.

I think it was a good buy, although £60 is initially a fair amount of money to lay out, it should last forever.

  • Excellent quality product

Fitted to a 1972 crossover, had to drill bigger hole in dash 13.5mm for switch to fit in, didnt come with any wiring drawing to assist with fitting (suggested switched live connection) for the less diy er,bottle fitted like a dream with new piping which was handy because old pipework was spungy and full of kack!, had it all fitted within an hour and working, Very good product much better than the old pressurised system which is a possible mot fail these days.
    Cheers

  • Easy fit. Works as it should

My original bottle exploded when pumping up prior to an MOT. (The manual says 42psi, I got to 30!) I got this replacement next day and fitted it within an hour. It does the job well with everything included in the kit. I did also buy new jets as my originals had broken clips and were being held on by the hose alone. My only complaint is the switch looks nothing like the others on my dash. Its not the end of the world but it would be nice if a near match was produced. When you buy some spares you're often surprised how cheap they are. This wasn't one of those times but if you need one you need one. Great service from JK as usual.

  • Easy to fit and does the job

After continuous repairs to my original washer system I thought the time was right to upgrade to the electric pump. After looking at the reviews I was a little worried about the lack of instructions but decided to give it a go. I should say that I am not a mechanic/engineer/electrician. Once the kit arrived and the box opened everything initially was fairly straight forward, the new bottle fits nicely and although the fluid tube is bent slightly against the headlight housing it doesn't hinder the function. I already had a hole for the operating push button in my dash but have read that its 13mm and its not far off that. The fluid tubing then went directly to the jets T piece just under the left hand nozzle from the bottle. Now comes the electrickery. The electric connection to the pump was again straight forward but required a bit more pressure to attach than what I would consider normal, that being said its not coming off in a hurry! The black and red spade connectors obviously fitted to the operating push button, I worked out that the black cable was the earth and found a suitable place for it (the headlight is earthed right next to the bottle on my van), now it was the turn of the red wire sticking out of the looming. This I decided was where the pump would take its live feed from. I will not embarrass myself by telling you of all the different wires I tried, in the end I attached it to the live of my non standard horn switch that is fitted, basically it needs to be attached to something that is live all the time when the ignition is on. That was that, the new electric washer system fitted in about an hour or so. The reason I've gone into the detail of the fitting for the review is that there is not a lot of helpful stuff on the web and hopefully this may help people in the future.

  • excellent

As always the package arrived on time.
The washer bottle fitment was simple, easy wiring. Didn't come with instructions but didn't need them, that simple, fitted in really well.
