Can't trust the fuel gauge on your VW T2 Bay or Beetle? It may be a faulty voltage stabiliser. A vehicle's supply voltage varies considerably depending on the state of charge of the battery, the engine speed and the demands made by other accessories. The fuel gauge measures the voltage put out by a sender that responds to fuel level – any variation in the supply voltage causes these readings to change. Stabilise the voltage and you get a more accurate reading.

Fuel gauge voltage stabiliser. Fits all VW Beetles from 1967 to 1979, VW T2 Bays from 1973 to 1979.

I shopped around and JK had the best price. The item arrived quickly. Easy to fit just needed a washer behind the existing fixing screw. Excellent result.

  3. Fixed my fuel gauge!
    Overall
    100%
After replacing my sender, the gauge still wasn't reading full - after doing some research online the next step was to replace the vibrator/stabiliser.

It took 5 minutes to fit & fixed the problem with my gauge - I now know how much I have in the tank!
