Headlamp Switch VW Beetle 1968–1979 VW Beetle 1303 1971–1972
Good quality reproduction product. Replacement headlamp switch for your VW Beetle. Uses a 14mm escutcheon, which is supplied separately: J14216.
Fits VW Beetles built from 1968 to 1979, and 1303 model Beetles built from 1971 to 1972.
Please note: While the original headlight switch in the VW Beetle had eight pins, two of them were not used.
This updated version includes only the six pins which are required, as follows:
30: Battery power from the fuse box
56: Power to the headlight relay
58: Power to the running light terminal on the fuse box
58b: Power to the dash bulbs
X: Power to the ignition switch.
Only one of the two 30 terminals is used to get power from the battery to the fuse box, so keep this in mind when installing your new headlight switch.
