11.3mm x 912mm V-belt. Designed 1200cc–1600cc aircooled engines fitted with an alternator. Fits Beetles from 1973 to 1998, T2 Bays from 1974 to 1979 and Brazilian made Bays.


Optibelt products are used where durability and quality are required without making any compromises: in machine engineering, in the automotive branch, in the agricultural engineering sector and the household appliance industry.

Don’t get stranded – carry a spare! Aircooled engines rely on this belt to drive the generator and, in turn, the cooling fan. A snapped belt will quickly result in a very hot engine. A slipping belt will also result in reduced cooling.
