A vital part of the vehicle electronic ignition system on VW T25s the hall sender gives the signal to the coil which in turn generates a spark. A faulty or malfunctioning sensor will prevent your van from running.
Fits all petrol VW T25s from 1979 to 1992. Located inside the distributor unit.
Please Note: when fitting you may need to re-use the connector from your old unit.

Works on Scirocco's too!Purchased this as a hail mary when I couldn't find one for my 1989 VW Scirocco MK2, (with the exception of one or two marked up to £120 on the bay!) It works spot on, and would imagine this would will work on most VW's of this era with a TIS unit (but your mileage may vary lol).

It worksFitted this to my 1986 t25 , you do need to change the plug . The terminals can be removed from the new plug by unclipping the flap where the wires enter and pulling them out with a pair of needle nose pliers. They can then be inserted into the original plug the same way. The pins on the new unit will probably be about 2 mm too long. They can be shortened from the back end with a pair of tin snips.
I also found that the base plate was a little bit too large for the distributor body. This was rectified by filing a small amount off of one side of the base plate. Do not expect this item to be exactly as the original in quality terms, however after much fiddling it seems to work fine. PS keep the original circlips from distributor as the ones supplied do not fit the rotor that operates the hall sender.
