Designed for VW T5s with a tailgate, it is easy to install with the standard brackets that are included, so there's no need to drill into your vehicle. Please note this bike rack will not fit to a vehicle with a rear spoiler. Supplied with 2 rails for 2 bikes with the addition of extra rails this can carry a maximum of 4 bikes. I. Fits T5s from 2003 to 2015. The ends on the Bike blocks rotate to allow fitting to your bikes frame. Before first use these can be very tight and need to be firmly rotated to allow them to move freely

Brilliant bike rack with terrible assembly and usage instructionsThis bike rack comes in many pieces and needs assembly. For this you need an A level in IKEA assembly as the instructions, such as they are, are often written in 'not quite English' accompanied by poor drawings and photos. An example of an instruction is "To fix the lower brackets, it is necessary to pull down the structure." Hmm! Accompanying photos are often given with no context so it's difficult to see which way up a part is being held. All the same, I was doubly proud to complete it successfully.
The next problem is how to use it, specifically the bike fixing devices - what it calls the Security Strip. There's no instruction on this at all and the pictures are largely unhelpful, such as telling you not to use it to carry children.
That said, it's a robust piece of kit and will carry a heavier weight than a tow-ball carrier.Posted on
