Description

Quality Securon product. Made in the UK. Fits all walkthrough VW T2 Split Screens from 1950 to 1967, VW T2 Bays from 1967 to 1979 and Brazilian made Bays. Belt length is 290cm while the stalk is 45cm. The kit includes fixing bolts and brackets. One 3-point webbing kit does one seat. Buses with a fixed bulkhead or 3-piece bench seat, require a different kit, J14693. Please Note: Due to the various conversions available it may be necessary to fit alternative mounting points. We always recommend that seat belts are fitted by a qualified technician.

Don’t cut corners on safety. Older vans do not enjoy the same safety features as modern ones, and safety belts are proven lifesavers. Replace old, worn or damaged belts now.

  • Easy to install, works great

Easy to install. On the passenger side i had to drill a hole in the bulkhead to mount the mechanism, otherwise the swivelseat could turn.

  • good product

a good kit and fits my walkthrough late bay fine. as another review mentions, a spacer is needed on the B post so that the belt 'hanger' swivels properly but other than that a simple 17mm spanner job all round!

  • Good Upgrade

A sensible upgrade for really not much money which I highly recommend.

A couple of things to be aware of:

If you have a Type 2 Microbus with air vent duct running down the door cards into the rear of the bus, then you may well have to remove the 45 degree piece of plastic duct that is screwed to the bulkhead behind the seats to fit these belts properly. Fitting the reels above the vent duct is possible, but does not give such a secure anchor point.

I had to mess about with spacers (provided) on the top runner that the belt loops round & whichbolts to the B post to enable the runner to swivel as intended, allowing the belt to run out & retract correctly. I only had to do this on one side (the nearside) so may well not be a problem on other T2.

Overall though, an easy fit and a bit of a no-brainer at this price if your belts look remotely dodgy.

    • could this fit a renault traffic T1000, reg1990 camper? I am looking for a standard 3point seatbelt, back fittings are the same as the front seat belt fittings.
    • Answer: We do not list this belt for a Renault. You may need to contact somebody who actually converts renaults into motorhomes.

    • Could this be used as a rear seat belt on a 2002 T4, i have a belts on my rock n roll bed but the retracter is broke on rear drivers side an need a replacement? thanks
    • Answer: It is hard to confirm if this will be suitable as there are a number of different mounting points used in the T4. I would estimate from comparison with my Carravelle that this is a similar belt to the original.
