Although these engines are no longer manufactured, we supply this top-pedigree Vege replacement. This replaces the four-cylinder, 1900cc diesel engine (coded ABL) on T4s built 1994–2003.
Please note, this unit is supplied without injection equipment. The engine is only available on an exchange basis and requires the return of your old unit, plus payment of a refundable deposit. German supplier Vege is one of the world's largest independent suppliers of remanufactured engines. Vege insist that their engines are remanufactured - not simply reconditioned, and add "A Vege engine has been rebuilt to the same standards of quality, and with the same components as specified by the original car manufacturer."
Engine specification includes: crack-tested engine block; reground crank; reconditioned camshaft; new head; new main bearings; new big end bearings; new springs; new pistons and rings; new small end bearings; new oil pump; new core plugs, seals, and gaskets. Plus a 12 months, unlimited mileage warranty. It is offered on an exchange basis under the terms and conditions set out at www.vegeuk.com/termsandconditions.php. When you order, we ask you to pay a refundable deposit of £840.00 which is charged in addition to the original cost of the unit. You should retain the packaging in which your remanufactured engine arrives and, once you have fitted the unit, use this same packaging to return the old engine to us. You will need to return the old unit to JK within two months and we will collect it from you on your instruction. Once returned, the unit is checked to ensure that it is complete and suitable for reconditioning before your full deposit can be refunded to your credit or debit card. To make the return of your old unit as easy as possible follow these simple guidelines: Place your old unit in the packaging provided and repack in exactly the same way as your new product arrived. Disassembled units are not acceptable. Drain off oil and coolants (where applicable) remembering to replace drain plugs. Your new product may have had plastic caps fitted to prevent contamination; these should be placed on the old unit before despatch.
