The humble VW aircooled engine has many fine attributes, but oil capacity isn’t one of them! With the stock engine’s paltry sump it’s easy for even the most conscientious owner to let their oil run low. Throw in a little spirited cornering and things might be running less well lubricated than one might like!
We hope we come to the rescue with our Scat deep-sump kit, which comes complete with all gaskets, filters and fixings to add an additional 1.5 litres of oil capacity along with additional oil cooling, with the extra surface area of the sump getting a good supply of cold air under the vehicle. All good news to extend the life of the engine.
Fitting easily in just a few minutes, the sump bolts directly to the OEM holes and reduces ground clearance by very little. It costs just £76.00 including VAT.
