find an actual car upholstry place in yellow pages and try and get a roll end of headlining/trimming fabric.

i..e proper stuff for the job.

prob need a spray on glue as trails/lines of glue will show up as the fabric grabs.

I covered the dashboard in my T25 with grey speaker covering cloth that can be gotten from Maplin. Very easy to work with and is practically invincible. Looks great too. Have a look on maplins website and youll find the stuff Im talking about. Im doing the rest of my interior in a mixture of that and chequerplate.

Many of the popular conversions have walls lined with carpet. They usually use a rot-proof type (synthetic) and spray-glue.

I've had problems with spray adhesive coming adrift in the summer when the sun shines on it and warms it up. Evostik Impact Adhesive does a more permanent job, spread it thinly onto the metal and the carpet, wait until it goes slightly tacky and press together. You'll need to vacate the van for several hours while the fumes die down though.

Do some testing with evostick first though, it can soak through and make stuff go all wrinkly and rubbish, /looks at bodged new vinyl.

Woolies do some heat proof spray glue. I've got some, but haven't used it yet.
