  • Great product

I, like a few others, read the reviews first before buying. Not the first purchase, or my last. As before a great quality product, a sensible price and easy delivery when I could be in to receive it. I can only dream that other companys would follow your excellent example. Thanks JK!

  • no problems

As with all things from JK, the awning rail was delivered very quickly and well packaged.
It took longer to remove the standard 'roof preparation rail' on my caravelle and clean the chanel than it took to fit the rail. As the OE rail is attached with 7 screws I just put a blob of clear silicone into each roof hole before positioning the new rail. 4 new M6 bolts were needed (I had some 25mm long stainless ones already), along with rubber washers to ensure that water doesn't get into the van - probably overkill on my part, and if you don't have the OE preparation rails, it will be even easier to fit. Fig 8 strips fit easily and securely to attach any suitable awning or canopy.

  • Subtle stuff

Excellent simple and subtle, easy to fit and hidden from view. So far so good, yet to try with awning.

    • Can this be used without the figure 8 channel on my T5? My awning should be fitted using a pole and three clamps directly on to the gutter but T5s don't have a gutter.
    • Answer: This will only work with the figure of 8 not the pole and clamp method.

    • can you get this awning rail to fit a long wheel base t5
    • Answer: Sorry at present we don't sell one for a LWB although it is something we are looking into doing but I couldn't say how long.

    • I have a T5 SWB with a Pop Top, I want a drive away awning, they all seem to require a fig 8 double channel which I need a awning rail can you advise what awning rail i would require?
    • Answer: As you've a pop top I imagine this rail won't be any good due to the gutter it bolts onto would have been cut out. However it can be bonded on using Sikaflex. Also have a look at J27769.

    • This might be a silly question but can the rail be fitted to either side of van if I wanted to alternate which side of the van I attached the awning to? (I have a sliding door each side).

      Regards
    • Answer: I can't see a reason why you can't use it on both sides.

    • Hi, I have a 2015 T5 with roof/hand rails. Do you know if I can fit these awning rails and keep the roof bars? Thanks.
    • Answer: They use the same fittings as your roof bars. So you may need to find longer bolts.
