JK Community Guidelines
JK accounts are intended for your personal use, not only to buy parts and camping accessories as required but for our members to post to forums, create blogs and share photos they have taken themselves etc. The following community guidelines are here to help you understand what it means to be a member of our JK community. Don't forget that your use of the JK community is subject to these guidelines.
Here’s the deal: In most circumstances, we like to give second chances, so we’ll send you a warning if you step across any of the lines listed below. A serious first breach or subsequent violations can result in account termination without warning.
What to do
Do play nice - We're a community of many types of people, who all have the right to feel comfortable and who may not think what you think, believe what you believe or see what you see. So, be polite and respectful in your interactions with other members. If you think your content may offend, it is better not to publish it. If you are getting hot under the collar as you write probably best to go away and cool off before publishing anything in anger.
Do upload content that you have created - Respect the copyright of others. This means don't steal photos or videos that other people have shared and pass them off as your own.
Do create threads in the correct forum - Please take a look at the descriptions of what each forum is for and create your threads in the right forum. The moderators reserve the right to move threads to the correct forum.
Do moderate your content - You need to take responsibility for what you upload or post. If your judgment proves to be poor, we'll moderate your content and send you a warning. Your account could be deleted without notice if we think you are purposefully being offensive or are hateful towards any particular group of people.
Do report inappropriate content - If you think someone is in breach of the guidelines in the forum please can you contact us.
Do let your friends know about great content - They don't need to be community members to enjoy your blog, photos, interesting or helpful forum threads. Simply copy and paste the web address to email to them.
What not to do
Don’t upload anything that isn't yours - This includes other people's photos, video and/or stuff you've collected from around the Internet. Accounts that consist primarily of such collections may be terminated at any time.
Don't upload photos of people or post content about them without their permission - They might not want to have a photo of them published or have details shared in a post etc. Stay on their good side. Always ask first.
Don’t forget the children - Take the opportunity to censor your content responsibly. If you would hesitate to show your photos or content to a child, your mum, or boss, that means it needs to be toned down or not published. So, ask yourself that question as you upload your content and moderate accordingly. If you don’t, it’s likely that one of two things will happen. Your account will be reviewed then either moderated or terminated by JK.
Don't use mention the C word - Mild swearing has recently been allowed on the forums. Please note obscene language / strong swear words and competitor names will be censored automatically which means replacing them with asterisks. If you notice your post has been censored please do not use that word again.
Don’t be creepy - You know the guy. Don't be that guy. Please refrain from sexual inuendos etc. and please do not hound anyone.
Don’t show nudity in your images or use sexually explicit language - Only content considered "safe" is appropriate for your profile picture or any images uploaded to the site or linked to. Please do not use sexually explicit content within your textual content. We reserve the right to remove inappropriate content and send you a warning. If we find you doing it again, we’ll terminate your account.
Don’t upload content that is illegal or prohibited - If we find you doing that, your account will be deleted and we'll take appropriate action, which may include reporting you to the authorities.
Don’t vent your frustrations, rant, or bore the brains out of other members - The JK community is not a venue for you to harass, abuse, impersonate, or intimidate others. If we receive a valid complaint about your conduct, we’ll send you a warning or terminate your account.
Don't use the forums as a substitute for sending an email - Forums are for discussions with many people. If you wish to get in touch with Just Kampers the best thing to do is to email us via http://www.justkampers.com/contact or call us please.
Don’t use your account to host web graphics like logos and banners - Your account will be terminated if we find you using it to host graphic elements of web page designs and other non-photographic elements for display on external web sites.
Don’t use your JK membership for commercial purposes - If we find you selling or promoting non-JK products (other than personal marketplace adverts), services or yourself, we will terminate your account.
Here are some other things to keep in mind:
Copyright Infringement
If you see photos or other content that you’ve created in another member’s content, don't panic. This is probably just a misunderstanding and not malicious. A good first step is to contact them and politely ask them to remove it. If that doesn't work, please contact us. You may be tempted to post an entry in our public forum about what's happening, but that's not the best way to resolve a possible copyright problem. We don't encourage singling out individuals like this.
Questions
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us.
In Conclusion
We’ve crafted these guidelines to ensure that everyone within the community has the experience they want. It’s important that you understand the importance of moderating your content responsibly. If you don't feel that you can abide by our community guidelines as outlined above, maybe our JK community isn't for you.
