Deluxe Progressive Weber Kit (Twin Port) VW Beetle 1968 on VW T2 Bay 1600cc 1971-1979
JK Part Number: J12147 OEM Part Number: 43-0622-0
This 32/36 Progressive carb kit will fit all twin port engines in VW Beetles from 1968 on and 1600cc VW T2 Bays from 1971 to 1979. If you are looking for a cheap/small power increase we would suggest a lightened flywheel and header exhaust system. Any after market carb kit should always be set upon a rolling road. With auto chokes Please note due to different makes of fuel pumps you may have clearance problems in which case an electric fuel pump is recommended.

- HI, I've got a 72 bay with stock 1600cc engine and uprated exhaust, would like smoother running and slight power increase, would you suggest this carb or maybe the twin carb kit part number j12146?? many thanks.
- Answer: Good afternoon
The single carb upgrade is a brilliant choice. My folks have got one fitted to their 1641 and it runs lovely and smooth with a bit more poke.
Twin carbs are great for out and out power, but can be tricky to setup and can have running issues
