Good quality reproduction product. Fits Beetles from 1950 to 1966, the rear valance on T2 Split Screens from 1950 to 1967, and T2 Bays from 1967 to 1971. Please Note: You may also need to order the engine bay seal that fits over the gearbox: J10962.

Essential for keeping the hot air from your exhaust away from the cooling air your engine requires.

    • When fitting engine bay seal J10501 do you place both 'flaps' of the seal above the engine panel or one either side. Many thanks.
    • Answer: It should be one either side. You can usually push the lower one under the tin with a screwdriver.

    • Answer: it is a bit of a fiddle to do it but you can when the engine is in . It is so so muych easier to do once the engine is out

    • Thanks for your reply do you have a diagram etc of where both seals go so I know where to fit them. Mainly the seal near the gearbox. I'm new to vw's and still learning :)
    • Answer: if you look at our parts picture shows you werer the seals go there is a channel they run into follow that
